The Wonderful 101 Remastered — is an updated version of an unusual action game released on Nintendo Wii U in 2013. Both the original and the remaster are made by the Japanese studio PlatinumGames, known for games such as Nier: Automata, Vanquish and the Bayonetta series. The game takes place in the future, during the third war between humanity and the alien terrorist organization known as the Gefjork Federation. In a clash with powerful alien forces, superheroes become the last hope of the Earth. However, the threat is so great that the heroes are first forced to team up and fight in a team.
This description of the plot may seem dramatic, but the story was presented with a humorous pinch of salt. The script is very humorous and often scoffs at the schemes of American superhero comics. The Wonderful 101 Remastered is an unusual action game. Events are shown in isometric view, and during the game we lead a whole group of characters. When we go through the levels, more and more characters join us.
The Wonderful 101 — players must explore levels, complete tasks and save people who join our horde. The key role is played by the ability to transform the group into various forms, for example, jelly, weapons, a giant hand controlling large objects, and even a lively whip. At the end of the mission, our achievements are summed up, which depends on factors such as the passage time of the card or the damage received.
Game lets you play alone and in cooperative mode for up to five people. In addition, the creators prepared the Time Attack mode, which is not available in the original 2013. The game offers an attractive three-dimensional visual setting made in a cartoon style. Compared to the original, The Wonderful 101 Remastered has updated the graphics and additional content, including the Luka’s First Mission mini-campaign, which tells the story of a new character.
