Grand Theft Auto 4 — is an example of the correct evolution of a series of video games. Thanks to Grand Theft Auto IV, the franchise received a completely new life, as the game went towards realism, while preserving the arcade features and a certain cartoony character of what is happening. In other matters, the idea of gameplay has not changed. We still have to study the streets of the next metropolis, this time sketched from New York, perform both plot and secondary tasks, drive on cool cars, participate in shootouts, in a word, do everything the same as before, only on new way.
The peculiarity of GTA 4, in the first place, is that the game has taken the path of realism, albeit not in all its glory. Now you will not meet the military on tanks, bicycles have been abolished along with radio-controlled cars, onlookers in the streets behave differently muttering under their breath or chatting among themselves, and in the morning the city’s streets are covered with dense fog. The main paradox of Grand Theft Auto 4 is that the notorious realism did not make the game boring. The reason for this was Rockstar’s signature scrupulous approach by game makers to detail.
The fourth part of the GTA is a completely new game in the series regarding the mechanics of the gameplay. Changes have undergone all the components of the gameplay, from running around and shooting, to driving. Driving a car in this game is a very fascinating task, because the car can be thrown into drifts, it is possible to make branded police turns on it and tack in traffic jams between other cars. As for the shootings, Nico Bellic, unlike previous protagonists, knows how to shoot from cover and stick to the walls.
